The DB-MKII is one of the most useful and versatile tools available—an essential device for fast, clean interfacing between all types of audio equipment in countless applications.
Built for real-world use, the Sound Block can be tossed into a gig bag, tool case, trunk, or anywhere cables and accessories are stored. Its heavy-duty construction and fully passive electronics make the DB-MKII virtually indestructible. This direct interface is extremely versatile, functioning as a Lo-Z to Hi-Ztransformer for connecting electric instruments and devices to XLR microphone inputs, or as a Hi-Z to Lo-Z converter for using a microphone with a guitar amp (though not recommended for sound quality, since guitar amps make poor PA systems).
Handling high-level outputs is no problem—the –20 dB and –40 dB attenuation switches allow safe connection of active instruments, high-output devices, and even speaker-level amplifier outputs when necessary.
Using the DB-MKII is simple: plug the 1/4″ output of your guitar, bass, keyboard, or electric piano into the input, connect an XLR cable to your mixer’s channel input, and you’re ready to go. A Ground Lift switch helps eliminate hum caused by ground-loop issues—especially useful in older buildings, clubs, or venues with inconsistent electrical systems.
Durable, reliable, and easy to use, the DB-MKII is a must-have tool for musicians, engineers, and audio technicians who demand dependable signal management.
